MEET THE OWNER
My name is Gayle Willett and I am the owner of Caring Touch Nursing (CTN). We are a small private duty nursing company that I started in 2004. We currently have about 100 staff members to assist with the care of clients in their home or wherever they reside.
I have worked as a Registered Nurse for over 25 years. During that time I have cared for patients with a multitude of illness and injuries. Prior to Caring Touch Nursing, I spent 10 years as the Hospice Director. I love working directly with patients but I find I can make a positive difference for clients by working with the direct caregivers that provide the care. I tell my staff I hire the best and I always expect them to provide the best care.
I can teach people how to provide care but I cannot teach them how to care. The compassion has to be something from within and that is what I look for when I hire them. I am truly a patient /client advocate and my main goal is to make certain every client receives the best care that we are capable of giving. We strive for reliability, dependability and continuity. We know seeing a familiar face is important and therefore we send the minimum number of staff members to homes.
The second goal of CTN is to be a good employer for people in our community. We offer competitive wages as well as other benefits such as health insurance and paid time off. This results in loyal employees that are committed to doing a good job. We make certain our employees are safe in client homes by performing back ground checks and then making sure they are well trained.
I started Caring Touch Nursing out of my home. In 2007 we moved to an upstairs office within Roscommon Lumberyard in the small town of Roscommon, Michigan. That move allowed us more office and training space. In 2009 we started a second office in Grand Rapids to accommodate the growing need in that area. In the Spring of 2011, we moved our office in Roscommon to a free-standing office building downtown. Everyone in the office has plenty of room to move about and it's a pleasant place for potential employees and clients to come to.
Our Faith-based mission continues to be to serve those in need.
We are accredited through C.H.A.P. Community Health Accreditation Program
